4. Discipline Is Not Punishment
Many think of discipline as suffering or restriction. But true discipline is self-respect in action. It’s honoring your potential, your time, and your goals. Discipline is not punishment—it’s preparation. It’s the internal agreement that says, “I am capable of more, and I will act like it.” Discipline hurts, yes—but only for a while. What it gives back, though, is permanent.
