Regret doesn’t always come from laziness. Sometimes, it comes from compromise. From slowly teaching yourself to accept “just enough.” At first, it’s harmless. You adjust your dreams to fit your comfort. You settle for safe instead of striving for more. And over time, settling becomes normal. But one day, it hits you: you had the ability to reach higher—but you stopped reaching. That realization is brutal. Because you can’t undo the lessons you taught yourself about settling.
