Every attack on a mosque is wrong. Every attack on any place of worship is wrong.
Reports of increasing attacks against mosques in the UK are deeply concerning. Everyone should be able to worship in peace without fear of violence, vandalism, or intimidation.
At the same time, I want to say this to Muslims everywhere: do not respond with hatred or revenge. If someone attacks a mosque, that does not justify attacking a church, synagogue, temple, or any other place of worship. Innocent people should never suffer because of the actions of others.
Let those who spread hate be responsible for their own actions. We should respond with patience, dignity, and by seeking justice through the law—not by creating more victims.
We must stand against hatred in all its forms, whether it is directed at Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, or anyone else. Peace is stronger than revenge, and justice is stronger than hatred.
